Kamal Majumder, Sabina Tuhin shown arrested in 4 uprising cases
The cases include charges of murder, attempted murder, and illegal possession of firearms

Former state minister for industries Kamal Ahmed Majumder and former member of parliament Sabina Akter Tuhin have been shown arrested in four new cases stemming from the July Uprising.
A Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate court granted the police's request to show their arrest today.
The cases include charges of murder, attempted murder, and illegal possession of firearms.
Sabina Akter Tuhin was arrested on 23 June in connection with the murders of student protesters Abdullah Kabir and Shafiq Uddin Ahmed Ahnaf, as well as the attempted murder of Adham bin Amin.
Kamal Ahmed Majumder was arrested on 18 October 2024 for his alleged involvement in the murder of Shafiq Uddin Ahmed Ahnaf and for an arms case filed at Pallabi police station.
The murder allegations claim that police, Awami League, Jubo League, and Chhatra League activists indiscriminately fired on student protesters during the uprising.
The arms case against Majumder alleges he failed to surrender two personal firearms after the Ministry of Home Affairs revoked all gun licenses issued between 2009 and 2024.
