According to Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) lawyer, Khandaker Mojibur Rahman, Rafeza Begum is a third-class employee of Chattogram Customs.

The court declared that investigation had produced evidence of the acquisition of a massive amount of illegal assets.

ACC Officer, Mosharraf Hossain, filed a case against Rafeza with Sonadanga Police Station on April 29, 2015.  ACC Officer, Shamim Iqbal, investigated the case.

Her husband, Jahangir Alam, is also a Customs employee, and a case has been filed against him as well, according to ACC.
