A Dhaka court on Tuesday framed charges against Golam Kibria Shamim alias GK Shamim and his seven bodyguards in an arms case filed with the Gulshan Police Station.

The court also set February 26 for starting the trial in the case and ordered that a summon notice be sent to prosecution witness.

Lawyer Salauddin Howlader represented the state, while advocate Shawkat Osman appeared on behalf of GK Shamim.

On October 27 last year, sub-inspector Shekhar Chandra Mallik of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB 1) and also investigation officer of the case submitted the charge sheet against them.
