BCL leader Imran sent to jail in martyr Abu Sayeed murder case

A court has sent Begum Rokeya University unit joint general secretary of the banned Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) Imran Chowdhury Akash to jail after a three-day remand in the Abu Sayeed murder case.
The investigation officer of the case PBI Rangpur Superintendent of Police (SP) ABM Jakir Hossain has confirmed the matter.
Last Thursday, PBI SP Zakir Hossain produced the accused Imran Chowdhury Akash before Rangpur Metropolitan Court and prayed for a four-day remand for quizzing in connection with the investigation of the Abu Sayeed murder case.
After the hearing, judge Asaduzzaman granted him a three-day remand for questioning. Later, Imran Chowdhury Akash was taken to the PBI office amidst tight security for interrogation.
Akash was arrested by Jamalpur police on February 15 from Gangapara village of Islampur upazila in Jamalpur district.

His elder brother Ramzan Ali filed a murder case in this connection.
