Bail hearing for 7 including Latif Siddiqui today
The hearing on the petition is scheduled for this afternoon

A bail petition has been filed for former minister Abdul Latif Siddiqui and six others in a case under the Anti-Terrorism Act at Shahbagh Police Station on charges of conspiring to push the country towards armed struggle.
Their lawyer Kayes Ahmed Arnav submitted the petition at the Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court this morning (3 September) and confirmed the matter to The Business Standard.
The hearing on the petition is scheduled for this afternoon.
Earlier, on Friday (29 August), Latif Siddiqui, Hafizur Rahman (Curzon), Md Abdullah Al Amin and 13 others were sent to prison after their bail pleas were rejected.
According to the case statement, a platform named "Mancha 71" was launched on 5 August with the stated aim of resisting conspiracies to erase and distort the history of the Liberation War. A roundtable was organised on 28 August at Dhaka Reporters Unity as part of its programmes.
During the event, a group of people entered the venue chanting slogans, locked the doors, assaulted several participants and confined others. Police later detained 16 individuals, who were sent to prison the following day after being denied bail.
The others seeking bail are Golam Mostafa, Zakir Hossain, Md Tousiful Bari Khan, Md Amir Hossain Sumon, Md Shafiqul Islam Delwar, and Md Abdullahil Qaiyum.
The case was filed by Sub-Inspector Amirul Islam of Shahbagh Police Station under the Anti-Terrorism Act.
