Adabor killing: Both suspects sent to jail as one confesses

A Dhaka court has sent two individuals to jail in connection with the fatal shooting of a man in the capital's Nobodoy Housing Society in Adabor on the evening of 16 July.
The accused, Sajeeb, who is the alleged shooter, and his brother Rubel, were produced before the court on Thursday, confirmed Sub-Inspector Azizur Rahman, the investigating officer from Adabor Police Station.
Rubel, who was arrested in the murder case of Ibrahim , reportedly killed over a business dispute, confessed to his involvement, the officer said.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Hasibuzzaman recorded his statement and ordered him to be sent to jail.
In a separate case filed under the Arms Act for the same incident, Sajeeb was also sent to jail. He was presented before the court by Sub-Inspector Kamal Chandra Dhar, and Metropolitan Magistrate Md Ehsanul Islam issued the jail order.
The victim's brother, Kabir Hossain, filed the murder case with Adabor Police Station on 17 July.
A separate case under the Arms Act was also filed by Sub-Inspector Alamgir Hossain in connection with the incident.
