Information Minister Hassan Mahmud has assured that continuous efforts will be made to ensure justice for Journalist Rozina Islam. 

The minister made the remarks today at his official residence on Mintu Road in the capital during a discussion with a group of journalist leaders including President and General Secretaries of Dhaka Reporter's Unity (DRU) and Bangladesh Secretariat Reporters' Forum (BSRF).

A neutral probe committee will be formed, said the minister.

"However, Rozina Islam also may make mistake. The matter should be seen in the context of reality without looking at it with emotion as no one is above mistakes."

The issue will be considered with sympathy, added Hassan Mahmud.

Prothom Alo's Senior Reporter Rozina Islam was arrested in a case filed under the Official Secrets Act by a Health Ministry official on the charge of "taking a snapshot of a health ministry document."

The virtual hearing on bail plea Rozina Islam has started today at12:50 in a virtual court.

The Information Minister yesterday said, "If there is any fault of the health ministry here, it will also be investigated."
