Consultant appointed for water supply network improvement project

The government has approved the appointment of a consultant for the Dhaka Water Supply Network Improvement Project.
The joint venture of NJS Consultants Company Limited and Aqua Consultant and Associates
Ltd was appointed for the Consultancy Service for Capacity Building for Sustainability (CSCB) under the project.
The decision was made at a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Government Purchase at the secretariat on Wednesday.
“The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) approved the project on May 24 this year. An Invitation for Expression of Interest (IOE) was issued for appointing a consultancy firm and 23 organisations responded,” Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal told reporters.
“The joint venture of NJS Consultants Company Limited and Aqua Consultant and Associates
Ltd was appointed by the proposal evaluation committee as the consultant for the project after ranking first among the candidates,” he added.
The consultant will cost the government Tk 38.47 crore and the project will be implemented by the Local Government Division.
