Committee for 2028 curriculum to be formed next week: Minister

A committee to formulate the new curriculum for 2028 will be formed within next week, Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon has said.

Speaking at an event titled "A Collaborative Initiative of the National Academy for Primary Education and Save the Children in Bangladesh" in the capital today (18 August), the minister said the committee would begin work on developing the 2028 curriculum.

He said the new curriculum would emphasise enjoyable learning alongside academic studies, while introducing technical education and sports from the first grade.
These components would help promote students' physical and mental development while equipping them with practical skills, he added.
The minister said the views of relevant stakeholders and the needs of students would be given due importance in formulating the new curriculum.
