CNG stations to remain open 24 hours for 10 days during Eid

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said on Monday that CNG stations will remain open round the clock for 10 days during Eid-ul-Azha vacation.

In his weekly press briefing at the Communication Ministry auditorium, Quader told reporters that the CNG stations will stay open for 24 hours seven days before and three days after Eid.

He said movement of heavy vehicles will be restricted on highways to ensure safe and hassle-free Eid journey for people.

“Heavy vehicles will not be run before and after Eid on roads and highways across the country,” said Obaidul Quader.

He said the government has requested the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association to allocate Eid holidays to garment workers step by step to minimise traffic jam.

The minister said the BRTC will provide buses as per the BGMEA’s demand.

The BRTC provided 50 buses for garment workers last year
