Shibir supporters take position across Dhaka, bring out procession protesting AL's lockdown call

The Dhaka Metropolitan unit of Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir organised multiple rallies across the capital in protest against the "lockdown" called by the banned Awami League centring the verdict date announcement by the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT).
One of the processions began at 7am in front of Dhaka College's main gate and proceeded through Science Lab and Nilkhet, concluding with a gathering at the Raju Memorial on the Dhaka University campus.
Among those present were Shibir's Central President Jahidul Islam, Secretary Nurul Islam Saddam, central office secretary Sibgatullah Sibga, DUCSU Vice President and Publication Secretary Shadik Kayem, along with other central and unit leaders.
As announced earlier, following the rally, Shibir activists planned to hold sit-in programmes at 14 key points across the capital, including Uttara BNS, Khilkhet, Bashundhara Gate, Gabtoli, Mirpur-10, Dhanmondi-32, Science Lab, Shahbagh, Rampura, Mohakhali, Gulistan, Bahadur Shah Park, Jatrabari, and Chattogram Road.
During the day, Islami Andolan Bangladesh leaders and activists staged sit-ins in Mohakhali, Badda, and Gabtoli to resist the banned Awami League's lockdown and sabotage.
Similarly, Shibir leaders and activists held sit-ins at Science Lab, Nilkhet, Shaheed Abrar Fahad Avenue and Baitul Mukarram area.
In addition, Shibir leaders and activists will stage similar programmes in all divisional and district towns as well as other major locations across the country.
