Chhatra League men bring out late night procession in Ctg
Locals, however, said they saw around 50 BCL men chanting anti-government slogans during the procession

Some leaders and activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League brought out a procession at Chattogram's Jamal Khan area during the early hours today (19 October).
The procession started from Govt Hazi Mohammad Mohsin College premises and ended at Jamal Khan area. The procession comprised of 10-15 BCL men, police said.
Locals, however, said they saw around 50 BCL men chanting anti-government slogans during the procession.
"A procession led by a BCL leader named Antar was brought out around 12:30am. There were 10-12 BCL men on three to four motorbikes. They fled within five minutes of reaching Jamal Khan," said Fazlul Kader, officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station.
"Police launched a drive to apprehend the BCL men upon receiving information. The BCL men taking part in the procession have been identified," the OC added.
No activity of the Chhatra League was seen since the fall of the Awami League government on 5 August. The procession has garnered widespread criticism on social media, primarily due to its timing, which was past midnight.
