Chhatra League activists stage procession, hoist national flag at Satkhira district unit office
During the programme, activists hoisted the national flag at the office premises and claimed that they had returned to organisational activities.
Leaders and activists of the banned Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) and Awami Jubo League brought out a procession and marched to the Satkhira district office, where they hoisted the national flag after an 18-month hiatus from organisational activities today (18 February).
The procession began around 9:30am from Boro Bazar Road in the town and proceeded towards the Satkhira district BCL office. Several leaders and activists participated in the rally.
During the programme, activists hoisted the national flag at the office premises and claimed that they had returned to organisational activities.
Leaders and activists of the municipal Jubo League said, "We will soon return to the field with our political ideology. Every leader and activist will come back."
Later, upon visiting the spot, it was seen that the national flag was flying at the office premises. However, the office was found locked.
