Chhatra Dal cornered in Jucsu polls through vile propaganda: Nationalist Teachers' Forum
In a statement tonight (12 September), the forum stated that “vile propaganda” was an attempt to corner Chhatra Dal even before the polls began.

The Nationalist Teachers' Forum has condemned the alleged smear campaign against Chhatra Dal under the shadow of certain members of the Jahangirnagar University Central Students' Union (Jucsu) election commission.
In a statement tonight (12 September), the forum stated that "vile propaganda" was an attempt to corner Chhatra Dal even before the polls began.
The forum claimed, "On 10 September around 10pm, false information was circulated on social media targeting Chhatra Dal, which was then amplified by activists of a particular political party.
"The allegation was baseless since that night only ballot boxes and other equipment were dispatched under returning officers' supervision, while ballot papers were were delivered at 8:30am on election day."
The forum further alleged that under the "direct patronage" of some election commission members and their allied provosts, irregularities took place in several halls, where instances of ballot stuffing and harassment of journalists were reported. "In one hall, the provost allegedly sought votes for a particular panel, while observers witnessed ballots lying unattended."
They also pointed out anomalies such as serial numbers being present on hall ballots but absent on Jucsu ballots, incomplete photo-attached voter lists, and lack of electoral ink — factors that, according to the forum, allowed the possibility of double voting.
The statement linked both the pre-poll propaganda against Chhatra Dal and the election-day irregularities, calling the entire process a "stage-managed election" designed to ensure victory for one political party.
The statement bore the names of 58 teachers, including election commission member and university proctor Prof AKM Rashidul Alam, and recently resigned commissioner Prof Mafruhi Sattar.
When asked about his name being included, Prof Rashidul Alam told The Business Standard, "My name was added without informing me."
