CA Yunus meets Osman Hadi's family, assures them of all-out medical support
The chief adviser promised government support for treatment abroad if his physical condition necessitates it
Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus today (13 December) met with the family of Sharif Osman bin Hadi, the spokesperson for Inqilab Mancha and a likely independent candidate for Dhaka-8, who was shot in the head yesterday.
The chief adviser met with Hadi's family members — his brother, Abu Bakar Siddique, and his sister, Masuma — at the State Guest House Jamuna this morning and assured them that the government is taking all necessary measures to ensure Hadi receives the best possible medical care.
The family was accompanied by three leaders of the Inqilab Mancha platform: Abdullah Al Jaber, Fatima Tasnim Zuma, and Md Borhan Uddin.
"The entire nation is praying for him. Everyone is trying to ensure his best treatment," he said.
He promised government support for treatment abroad if his physical condition necessitates it. "Considering his physical condition, if he needs to be sent outside the country, the government will arrange his treatment wherever it is required."
Sharif Osman bin Hadi remains in critical condition after being shot in the head by assailants on a motorcycle in the Paltan area after Jummah prayers yesterday. He is currently receiving treatment at Evercare Hospital.
