Signs of conspiracies by defeated forces becoming visible: CA Yunus
He made the remark during a meeting with leaders of 13 political parties this afternoon

Within a year of uprising, signs of various conspiracies by defeated forces are becoming more visible, Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus said today (23 July).
During a meeting with leaders of 13 political parties at the state guest house Jamuna this afternoon, he said, "On the first anniversary of the July uprising, our plan was to bring all political parties together to remember the past. That was the purpose behind our programmes. It would have made our unity against fascism visibly stronger. But even before a year has passed, signs of conspiracies by the defeated forces are emerging.
"Despite differences of opinion and political rivalry, the unity among political parties against fascism must be made more visible. Otherwise, they see it as an opportunity."
All participating parties in today's meeting expressed their support for maintaining strong political and public unity against fascism, according to a statement from the CA's Press Wing.
They urged the chief adviser to take a firmer stance in controlling law and order.
The leaders also pledged full support for reforms, justice, and the electoral process. They requested the chief adviser to hold more regular all-party meetings ahead of the election to resist fascism and strengthen democratic consensus.
Leaders present at the meeting included Syed Hasibuddin Hossain, Rashtro Sangskar Andolon; Zonayed Saki, Ganosanghati Andolon; Mujibur Rahman Monju, AB Party; Shahidullah Kayser, Nagorik Oikya; Nurul Haque Nur, Gono Odhikar Parishad; Redwan Ahmed, LDP; Dr Ahmad Abdul Kader, Khelafat Majlish; Saiful Haque, Biplobi Workers Party, according to CA Press Wing.
Other leaders present in the meeting were Tania Rob, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal–JSD; Shahadat Hossain Selim, 12-Dolio Jot; Bazlur Rashid Firoz, Basod; Ruhin Hossain Prince, CPB; and Mizanur Rahman, secretary, Gono Forum.
Last night, the chief adviser held meetings with leaders of BNP, Jamaat-e-Islami, National Citizen Party and Islami Andolan.
