CA hands over land deed to Chattogram Heart Foundation for hospital construction
The planned hospital will feature advanced medical facilities

The Chattogram Heart Foundation has been formally allocated 23 acres of land in South Kattali for the construction of a state-of-the-art cardiac hospital.
Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus officially handed over the land deed to Mohammad Abdus Salam, chairman of the Chattogram Heart Foundation and managing director of Asian Group, at a ceremony held this afternoon at the Circuit House Conference Hall in Chattogram city.
Speaking at the event, the foundation's Secretary General Professor Dr Prabir Kumar Das said, "We have long awaited a permanent location. This allocation will significantly expand our capacity and allow us to establish a modern cardiac care hospital. Initial construction work will begin soon."
The planned hospital, to be built adjacent to the South Kattali land office, will feature advanced medical facilities including a modern catheterisation laboratory (cath lab), an open-heart surgery unit, intensive care (ICU) and coronary care units (CCU), and specialised departments for cardiology and cardiac surgery. Special services will also be available for underprivileged heart patients.
Founded on 25 May 2022, the Chattogram Heart Foundation aims to ensure access to advanced cardiac treatment in the region. Currently, it operates outpatient services from a rented facility at Golpahar Intersection in the city.
