CA condoles death of Magura rape victim; orders speedy trial
The girl, who was battling for her life after being brutally tortured, passed away at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka this afternoon

Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus expressed profound shock at the death of the 8-year-old rape victim of Magura at the Combined Military Hospital on Thursday.
Prof Yunus also ordered bringing the accused to book through speedy trial, said Chief Adviser's Deputy Press Secretary Apurba Jahangir.
The girl, who was battling for her life after being brutally tortured, passed away at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka this afternoon, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations Directorate (ISPR).
She breathed her last around 1pm despite receiving advanced medical care and the relentless efforts of expert doctors at CMH, the ISPR said in a press release.
The statement said that the child suffered three cardiac arrests in the morning.
"While medical teams managed to revive her twice, the third proved fatal," it said.
The critically injured girl had been admitted to CMH on March 8 for emergency treatment.
Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury has also expressed deep sorrow over the death of the child who was a victim of rape in Magura.
In a condolence message today, the adviser prayed for the departed soul and extended his deepest sympathies to the bereaved family.
