BNP earns Tk22.19cr in 2025, spends Tk15.26cr
It submits annual financial report to EC.
The ruling BNP today (19 July) submitted its audited annual financial report for 2025 to the Election Commission (EC), showing a total income of Tk22,19,65,182 against expenditure of Tk15,26,10,857, leaving a surplus of Tk6,93,54,325 in its party fund.
A three-member BNP delegation, led by Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, submitted the report to EC Senior Secretary Akhtar Hossain at the EC Secretariat.
The delegation also included Treasurer and State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism M Rashiduzzaman Millat and Assistant Office Secretary Monir Hossain.

Political parties typically report income from membership fees, donations, and the sale of nomination forms. Expenditure mainly covers organisational activities, political programmes, office maintenance, staff salaries, and support for distressed party leaders and activists.
Speaking to reporters after submitting the report, Rizvi said the BNP had complied with the legal requirement by filing its annual financial statement before the 31 July deadline.
Responding to a question on local government elections, he said the issue of who can contest the polls falls within the jurisdiction of the Election Commission and the courts. Rizvi also said the party's national council would be held soon.
