BNP sincerely cooperating with Consensus Commission in reform efforts: Salahuddin
A five-member BNP delegation joined the talks with the National Consensus Commission that began at 11am

BNP is extending its full cooperation to the National Consensus Commission's reform efforts with sincerity and seriousness, said the party's Standing Committee Member Salahuddin Ahmed today (20 April).
"We are cooperating in this reform initiative with transparency, sincerity, and seriousness," he told reporters before a meeting with the commission at the LD Hall of the National Parliament Complex in Dhaka.
A five-member BNP delegation, led by Standing Committee Member Nazrul Islam Khan, joined the talks that began at 11am with National Consensus Commission Vice-Chairman Prof Ali Riaz in the chair.
The BNP delegation also included Chairperson's Advisory Council Member Ismail Jabiullah, former secretary Abu Mohammad Moniruzzaman and former Supreme Court Bar Association General Secretary Barrister Ruhul Kuddus Kajol.
Earlier, last Thursday, the BNP participated in the opening round of discussions from 10:35am to 4:45pm.
The Consensus Commission launched its dialogue process with political parties on 20 March, aiming to build a unified position on key reform proposals initiated by the interim government. So far, it has held talks with 13 political parties.
Formed on 15 February 2025, under the leadership of Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus, the commission is tasked with shaping a shared national stance on critical reforms.
