Domestic worker abuse: Biman CEO Shafiqur, wife, 2 others placed on remand

Four people, including former Biman Bangladesh Airlines MD and CEO Shafiqur Rahman and his wife Bithi, have been placed on remand in a case over the abuse of an 11-year-old child domestic worker.

Today (February 10), the court of Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Md Zakir Hossain granted five days of remand for Shafiqur Rahman, seven days for Bithi, five days for Rupali Khatun, and six days for Mosammat Sufia Begum following a hearing.
