Bangladesh's High Commissioner Iqbal presents credentials to Pak President Zardari
Upon arriving at the President's Office, the Iqbal Hossain was received by Pakistan's Chief of Protocol

Newly-appointed Bangladeshi High Commissioner Md Iqbal Hossain presented his credentials to Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari at the presidential palace in Islamabad today (24 December), officially marking his role as the High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Pakistan.
Upon arriving at the President's Office, the Iqbal Hossain was received by Pakistan's Chief of Protocol, reads a press release.
He was then escorted to the greeting platform in a horse-drawn carriage.
There, a team of Pakistan's Armed Forces presented a Guard of Honour to the High Commissioner.
After inspecting the guard, the high commissioner presented his credentials to President Asif Ali Zardari.
Present at the event were Pakistan's foreign secretary, the president's military secretary, the Chief of Protocol, the high commissioner's spouse, and the deputy high commissioner and press counsellor of the high commission.
The Pakistani president welcomed the high commissioner, urging him to work towards strengthening overall relations between Bangladesh and Pakistan, and assured him of his cooperation.
The High Commissioner thanked the president and expressed his intent to foster high-level exchanges and multi-dimensional relations between the two countries.
