Bangladesh launches first-ever investment matchmaking portal
Chowdhury Ashik Mahmud Bin Harun, executive chairman of both Beza and Bida, said the new service will operate as a separate feature on the Bida website and is accessible from today
Bangladesh has launched its first investment matchmaking portal, aimed at connecting local entrepreneurs with foreign investors, officials announced last night (3 December).
The platform was introduced at an event held at the Bida headquarters, where Chowdhury Ashik Mahmud Bin Harun, executive chairman of both Beza and Bida, formally announced the launch. He said the new service will operate as a separate feature on the Bida website and is accessible from today.
According to him, the portal was created to address a growing demand.
"Over the past year, many local entrepreneurs have approached us seeking foreign investors. At the same time, foreign investors have asked whether we can identify Bangladeshi partners interested in forming joint ventures. But none of them know each other," he said.
"To solve this problem, we have developed a matchmaking platform on the Bida website, through which they can connect."
He urged Bangladeshi entrepreneurs to actively use the platform.
"We are encouraging local entrepreneurs to register and use this matchmaking platform. At the same time, they can connect with foreign investors," the Bida chairman added.
How to join the matchmaking platform
Entrepreneurs can register on the portal in three simple steps by visiting:
https://www.investbangladesh.gov.bd/matchmaking
- Create an ID
- Set up an entrepreneur profile
- Create a project profile with key business information
The platform also offers additional features, including:
All Projects tab: A consolidated list of investment-ready projects across the country
Follow-up section: A dedicated space for tracking all communications and engagement in one place
These tools are designed to streamline investor–entrepreneur interaction and improve coordination across Bangladesh's investment landscape.
