Bangladesh Association in Florida elects new president, general secretary

A new committee of Bangladesh Association of Florida has elected Mohammad Rahman Zahir as president and Arif Ahmed Ashraf as general secretary for the next three years. 

The election was held at the annual general meeting of a restaurant in Palm Beach, Florida last Sunday.

President Mohammad Rahman Zahir spoke at the beginning of the program conducted by ABM Golam Mostafa, senior vice president of the organisation.

Chief Adviser Mohammad Emran, Organising Secretary Awale Dayan, Publicity Secretary Mohammad Khorshed, Board members Alamgir Kabir, Mazharul Islam, Mohammad Mohsin, Rafiqul Haque, Rafiqul Islam, Mohammad Habibullah and Johnny S Johnny discussed in detail about the activities of the organisation in the last one year.

Besides, members of the advisory council Abdul Wahed Mahfuz, Md Syed Harun, Nuru Sheikh, Mohammad Harun, Mahbub Chowdhury, Asim Kumar Titu, Poppy Islam, Shamsunnahar, Molsari Khanam and others addressed the annual general meeting. 

A three-year working committee of 30 members was formed at the meeting. This committee was unanimously approved. Chief Adviser Mohammad Emran introduced the members of the committee to all.

The other elected members of the committee are: Chief Adviser Mohammad Imran, Senior Adviser Abdul Wahed Mahfuz, Senior Adviser Syed Harun, Senior Adviser Emranul Haque Chakladar, Advisor Dr Shamsad Begum, Adviser Akbar Hossain Mohan, Adviser Alamgir Kabir, Adviser Rubun Advisor AKM Hossain Hitu and Advisor Nur Uddin Sheikh.

The members of the Board of Directors are Mohammad Imran (Chief Adviser), M Rahman Zaheer (President), ABM Golam Mostafa (Senior Vice President), Rana Haque (Vice President), Mohammad Shahed (Vice President), Arif Ahmed Ashraf (General Secretary). ), Iftekhar Hossain Rinku, Rafiqul Islam (Joint General Secretary), Reza Islam (Co-General Secretary), Awale Dayan Organizing Secretary, Imran Johnny (Event Director), Rafiqul Haque (Communications Secretary), Kabir Chowdhury Tuhin (Entertainment Secretary), SI Jewel (Treasurer), Md. Khorshed (Publicity Secretary), Mohsin Rahman (Fund Raising Secretary), Mazharul Islam (Fundraising Director), and Mohammad Habibullah (Publicity Advisor).

Tamanna Ahmed, Qutbuddin, Mohiuddin Bhutto, Anwarul Karim Shahin, Abu T Khan, Sirajul Islam Talukder, Rashed Chowdhury Titu, Tanvir Ahmed, Mohammad Harun Chowdhury, Touhidul Alam Titu, Molsari Khanam, Poppy Islam, Shamsunnahar, Uttam Kumar Dey, Asim Roy, Mahbub Chowdhury, Faisal Ahmed, Nazmus Shakib, and Nazmun Akib among others.
