Bangladesh Air Force, US Pacific Air Force hold ENCAP programme in Ctg

As part of the ongoing seven-day joint exercise Operation Pacific Angel 25-3, the Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) and the US Pacific Air Force held an ENCAP ceremony at the Anwara Upazila Health Complex in Chattogram today (18 September).
Air Vice Marshal Haider Abdullah, air commander of Air Force Base Zahurul Haque, attended the event as chief guest and inspected the newly renovated health complex, said a press release issued by the Inter Service Public Relations Directorate (ISPR).
He highlighted the humanitarian role and international cooperation of the BAF in strengthening the healthcare sector.
Under the ENCAP programme, infrastructure renovations, building repairs, sanitation improvements, and the installation of new medical equipment were carried out.
The BAF also handed over modern electro-medical equipment to the health complex authorities, which is expected to significantly improve healthcare services for local residents.
Operation Pacific Angel is a joint exercise between the BAF and the US Pacific Air Force aimed at enhancing humanitarian assistance, delivering medical services, upgrading infrastructure, and fostering regional cooperation. Officials noted that the exercise strengthens mutual understanding, coordination, and friendship between the armed forces of the two nations.
The ceremony was attended by senior officials from the Bangladesh Air Force and the US Pacific Air Force, divisional health directors, representatives of the Civil Surgeon's Office, local administration officials, and community members.
