‘Bangabandhu became an inspiration for people everywhere in a post-colonial world’

The charismatic leadership of Bangabandhu paved the way for the emancipation of war-torn Bangladesh.

Also, he became an inspiration for people everywhere in a post-colonial world with his courageous actions and visionary thoughts.

And the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had exceptional leadership skills that elevated him as the undisputed leader of people.

His steps helped Bangladesh enter into the United Nations and the Non-Aligned Movement.

Sheikh Mujibur Rahman travelled to the USA, UK and other European nations to get humanitarian and developmental assistance for his war-ravaged nation.

Speakers said this on Tuesday at the Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies (BIISS) webinar on "Leadership of Bangabandhu and Its Relevance to the Contemporary World."

Foreign Minister Dr A K Abdul Momen was the chief guest at the programme while BIISS Director General Major General Md Emdad Ul Bari moderated it and delivered the welcome address.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's Political Adviser HT Imam delivered the keynote speech at the webinar where he discussed the political vision of Bangabandhu.

Also, Muhammad Zamir, former ambassador and chief information commissioner, discussed Bangabandhu's engagement with international organisations and his contribution to the enhancement of multilateral relations.
