Army chief meets president and CA, briefs them on China visit
The army chief travelled to China on 20 August on an official visit and returned on 27 August

Bangladesh Army's Chief of Army Staff General Waker-uz-Zaman paid courtesy calls today (1 September) on President Mohammed Shahabuddin and Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus, briefing them on his recent official visit to China.
The army chief first met with the chief adviser at his official residence, state guest house Jamuna, and then the president at Bangabhaban, according a press statement from the Bangladesh Army.
During the meetings, General Waker shared his experiences and key takeaways from his visit to China, including discussions held there.
He also exchanged views on law and order in Bangladesh and the army's role in strengthening it.
The army chief assured them that the Bangladesh Army will continue to provide full cooperation to improve law and order and ensure public safety.
In addition, he briefed the president and the chief adviser on ongoing development activities within the army and its future plans.

According to an Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) statement issued on 28 August, he held courtesy meetings with senior Chinese military and civilian officials, discussing various bilateral matters of mutual interest.
