Anti-Discrimination Student Movement to detail forming new political student organisation this afternoon
The event is scheduled for 4pm today (17 February) at Dhaka University's Madhur Canteen, said a statement issued by Abu Bakar Mazumder, a coordinator of the movement

The Anti-Discrimination Student Movement has announced a press conference to discuss forming a new political student organisation in the wake of the July uprising.
The event is scheduled for 4pm today (17 February) at Dhaka University's Madhur Canteen, said a statement issued by Abu Bakar Mazumder, a coordinator of the movement.
Bakar invited all electronic and print media representatives and well-wishers to attend the press conference.
"The objective is to provide detailed information about the process of establishing the new student organisation," reads the statement.
The press conference follows recent developments where the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement and the Jatiya Nagorik Committee announced plans to establish a new political party within February.
In this regard, a preparatory committee has been formed, with 70 people from the Nagorik Committee and 30 from the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.
They have sought public suggestions for the party's name and symbol, aiming to engage a diverse demographic, including injured protesters, rickshaw pullers, marginalised communities, and people of all religions and age groups.
