AL sets example by punishing BCL leaders: Quader
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina herself is dealing with the whole controversy surrounding BCL

Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader today said his party has set an unprecedented example by removing the president and general secretary of Chhatra League following several complaints against them.
At present, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina herself is dealing with the whole controversy surrounding BCL, he added on Sunday during his visit to Bhulta flyover construction site in Narayanganj's Rupganj.
On Saturday, BCL Vice President Al Nahian Khan Joy was made its acting president and first Joint Secretary Lekhak Bhattacharjee was made the acting general secretary of the ruling party's student wing.
The newly appointed acting incumbents are expected to prepare for organising successful councils, including upcoming national council in December, Quader added.
He also said a showcause notice was served to 175 rebellious staffs and their instigators during Upazila election.
The Tk375 crore four-lane Bhulta flyover was unofficially opened for public. It will soon be officially inaugurated by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina over a video conference.
