Admissions to Thakurgaon Medical College will begin by 2027: Minister Fakhrul

BNP Secretary General and LGRD Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said, "A strong team has already started working here to inspect the construction of Thakurgaon Medical College Hospital.
"They are looking after the site and have assured me that they will be able to start admitting students by 2027, " he said.
He made the remarks at a press briefing after a more than 3-and-a-half-hour exchange of views with the heads of government offices in the district this afternoon (28 February).
At that time, the LGRD Minister and MP of Thakurgaon-1 constituency said, "We have given utmost importance to making Thakurgaon a drug-free district.
Mirza Fakhrul said, "We have given importance to improving the services of the hospital we have."
We have also started work by giving importance to the development of the municipality,' he said, adding that they have taken steps to accelerate and advance the ongoing projects for the development of agriculture.

He announced that within this month, as promised by BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman, a pilot project to provide family cards will be started in Rahimanpur Union.
Asked about the government's action regarding the corruption of the interim government's advisor and some employees of the Thakurgaon district administration, he said, "There is an ACC to look into these, they will take action. BNP has not condoned corruption in any way, and will not do so. The railway system will also be developed in this region," he said.
