ACC raids 35 BRTA offices

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) is conducting raids on the offices of Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) in various districts of the country.
The ACC is conducting the raids on a total of 35 BRTA offices, confirmed ACC Public Relations Officer Akhtarul Islam.
Earlier, 29 April, the ACC launched simultaneous drives at 36 offices of the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED), including its headquarters in Dhaka's Agargaon and various district and upazila offices.
On 28 April, the ACC filed two separate cases against four engineers and two contractors of the LGED on charges of corruption and embezzlement in the construction of two separate road development projects in Tangail's Nagarpur upazila.
