ACC open on Friday, Saturday
"The commission will show zero tolerarnce if any officials are found neglecting their duties"

The Anti-Corruption Commision (ACC) will remain open on this Friday and Saturday, which are government holidays.
The commission made the decision for the sake of completing the backlog of pending investigations by July 15.
The ACC head office along with divisional and 22 district offices will remain open from 10am to 5pm on the weekly holidays, Public Communication Officer Pranab Bhattacharjee said.
“The commission took the decision to complete all pending investigations and submission of related reports by July 15,” reads a letter signed by ACC Director Jalal Saifur Rahman.
Earlier on July 2, the ACC Chairman Iqbal Mahmud ordered the submission of every investigation report by July 15.
“The commission will show zero tolerarnce if any officials are found neglecting their duties. Administrative actions will be taken against them.”
According to the amended Anti-Corruption Commission Act, probe reports must be submitted within 45 working days, and investigation must be concluded within 120 working days.
