Abrar Fahad's brother files GD against Chhatra Union leader over allegations of threat, insult
According to the GD, Faiyaj had posted a Facebook status on 27 May criticising the judicial system under the Awami League regime

Slain Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet) student Abrar Fahad's brother has filed a general diary against a Bangladesh Chhatra Union leader over allegations of threatening him and his family and insulting his brother on social media.
Abrar Faiyaj, Abrar Fahad's younger brother and also a student of Buet, filed the GD against the ex-president of Chhatra Union's Dhaka Metropolitan unit Shahriar Ibrahim with Shahbagh Police Station yesterday (30 May).
Confirming the matter, Khalid Mansur, officer-in-charge of the police station, said, "Abrar Fahad's younger brother filed the GD over a Facebook status of a Chhatra Union leader Shahriar Ibrahim. Our cyber team will investigate the issue, after which we will take the necessary steps."
According to the GD, Faiyaj had posted a Facebook status on 27 May criticising the judicial system under the Awami League regime, and an online news portal named 'Barta Bazar' published a report featuring his status.
On 28 May, Shahriar allegedly shared a photo card of that report, writing: "See why it was legal to murder the "Jamat-Shibir dog" named Abrar Fahad?"
Another individual, Nawaz Hossain Fardin, reportedly commented on the post, saying: "The path his brother took will also lead him."
Faiyaj stated that such remarks are tantamount to a direct threat to him and his family and amount to disrespect toward his brother Abrar Fahad, who was murdered for his anti-fascist stance.
In the GD, Faiyaj expressed concern for his safety and that of his family.
