Abdullah Fahim crowned champion at seafood chefs challenge 2025

Shutkiz, an organisation promoting the delicacy of dried fish, hosted the grand finale of the "Seafood Chefs Challenge 2025" culinary competition at Foy's Lake on Thursday.
The celebration transformed into a vibrant festival, showcasing various delicious and creative seafood recipes.
The competition brought together ten talented finalists, each presenting their culinary skills through live cooking sessions. Following a thrilling display of creativity and technique, Abdullah Fahim from Chattogram was declared the champion, winning over the judges with his remarkable seafood creations. The organising team awarded him a prize of Tk 100,000. Nusrat Jahan Munia claimed the first runner-up position. In contrast, according to a press release, Nargis Shamima from Dhaka was named the second runner-up, both earning praise for their outstanding performances.
Abeda Sultana, the newly elected President of the Chattogram Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry, was the chief guest. Special guests included Golam Morshed, Manager of Meghna Group of Industries Chattogram Wing, and Manzurul Haque, Chairman of Barcode Cafe. Saima Sultana, one of the event's key organisers, anchored the event.
The panel of judges featured some of the country's most renowned culinary experts, including Irfan Hossain, Shaheen Afroze, Jobaida Ashraf, Savina Siraji Annie, Rowshan Ara Begum, Hasina Ansar, and Rubina Ruby, who carefully evaluated each dish to select the winners.
Several sponsors supported the event. SuperFresh Fortified Soyabean Oil was the title sponsor, while Confidence Salt was the platinum sponsor. Mia Bibi, Noor Organic Food, and Saima's Creation participated as gold sponsors. Gift sponsors included Perfect Electronics and Monno Ceramics.
Towhidul Islam, Saima Sultana, and Noor Akter Jahan led the organising committee, which received additional support from Zahedul Alam, Azmira Chowdhury, and Mizanur Rahman.
Beyond being a competition, the "Seafood Chefs Challenge 2025" acted as a dynamic platform for celebrating the talents of Bangladesh's seafood industry and culinary enthusiasts. Organisers hoped such initiatives would help propel Bangladesh's rich culinary heritage to new heights globally.
