A team of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on Sunday arrested eight members of an international human trafficking gang and rescued two victim girls from Kamrangirchar, Keraniganj and Mugda areas of the capital.

"A good number of passports, photocopies of visas were seized from the spot," RAB confirmed in a media briefing held at RAB-11 headquarters in Narayanganj's Siddhirganj on Monday afternoon.

"There are employees of travel agencies and owners of dance training centres among the arrestees," RAB confirmed.

These traffickers target divorced and smart girls, who work in garment factories and trafficked girls promising them of good jobs and attractive pays, according to RAB sources.

On November 23, RAB carried out a nightlong drive in Narayanganj and detained six human traffickers and rescued four victims from Dhaka and Narayanganj.
