8, including Arav Khan, get life imprisonment in police inspector Mamun murder case

A court here today convicted and sentenced eight people, including notorious Dubai-based businessman Arav Khan, to life imprisonment in a case lodged over the murder of police inspector Mamun Imran Khan.
Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Md Zakir Hossain Galib pronounced the judgment.
The other convicts are- Suraiya Akter Keya, Rahmat Ullah, Swapan Sarkar, Mizan Sheikh, Atik Hasan, Sarwar Hasan and Didar Pathan.

Inspector Mamun was killed in the city's Banani area on 7 July 2018. His brother filed the case on 10 July. Police on 31 March 2019, filed the charge sheet against the eight.
The court on 25 November 2021, framed charges in the case.
The court today came up with the judgment, examining 26 witnesses on different hearing dates.
