Police have recovered six grenades from a canal in Bogura sadar upazila.
The grenades were found this afternoon (17 August) in the canal behind the Jhopgari Markaz Mosque in the Choto Kumira area of the upazila.
Bogura Sadar Police Station Officer-In-Charge (OC) Hasan Basir told The Business Standard that the grenades did not appear to be very old, possibly from a few years ago.

"The grenades were recovered in an abandoned state around 2pm. The army's bomb disposal unit has been informed to neutralise the grenades," the OC added.
According to local sources, labourers working in the canal behind the mosque spotted the grenades. They immediately informed the authorities.
