5 more die, Covid-19 deaths reach 37 in C’nawabganj

Five more coronavirus (Covid-19) infected people died in the district during the last 24 hours raising the total number of fatalities to 37.

Chapainawabganj Civil Surgeon Office sources said 17 more patients were reported positive after testing 168 samples from five upazilas of the district during the period.

Among the newly detected patients, one from Sadar and Shibganj upazilas each, three from Gomostapur upazila, seven from Nachole upazila and five from Bholahat upazila.

A total of 681 patients including the newly detected patients are undergoing treatment in the district while 1,119 patients recovered from the deadly disease here, the sources added.
