Five platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have been deployed at Rajshahi University and its surrounding areas for ensuring peaceful holding of Rucsu elections.
The paramilitary force confirmed the deployment of BGB personnel through a press release issued this morning (16 October).
Voting for the Rajshahi University Central Students' Union (Rucsu), 17 hall councils, and five student representatives to the RU Senate began in a festive atmosphere.
