4 Hefazat leaders held over attack in Sonargaon resort 

Members of Rapid Action Battalion has arrested four leaders of Hefazat-e-Islam from Jurain area in the capital in connection with attack and vandalism in a resort of Narayanganj's Sonargaon upazila on 3 April.

The arrestees are- Maulana Iqbal, Maulana Mohiuddin, Maulana Shahjahan Shibli and Maulana Moazzem.

Confirming the matter, LT colonel Khandaker Saiful Islam, commanding officer of RAB-11 said that a team of RAB conducted the drive in the area and arrested them.

Hefazat men snatch Mamunul away after he was held with ‘wife’

Later, the arrestees were handed over to Sonargaon Police Station. 

Hefazat-e-Islam's Joint Secretary General Mamunul Haque, who has been the loudest voice in the organisation in a number of recent controversies, was detained with a woman he claims as his second wife from a resort in Sonargaon on April 3.

Later, a group of leader and supporter of Hefazat attacked the resort and released him.
