4 die with measles like syndrome in 24hrs: DGHS
According to the latest health bulletin, 88,895 suspected measles cases have been identified nationwide. Of these, 69,688 patients have already been discharged after receiving treatment.
Four children died from measles- like syndrome between 8am yesterday and 8am today, 17 June, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Total deaths reached 661. During the same period, 966 patients with measles-like symptoms were admitted to hospitals nationwide.
Of these, 111 cases were laboratory-confirmed as measles. So far this year, at least 93 children have died from confirmed measles infections in Bangladesh.

In addition, 568 children have died with symptoms consistent with measles. DGHS data shows that between 15 March and 17 June, a total of 10,634 measles cases were confirmed through laboratory testing.
