Authorities seized 20 grams of cannabis and 500 milliliters of alcohol in two separate bottles from their possession.

Four students of Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) have been expelled for two years for consuming alcohol and cannabis inside a dormitory.
They have also been permanently banned from their residential hall.
The decision was made during the 283rd emergency meeting of CUET's Students' Discipline Committee yesterday afternoon (25 February).
Mohammad Mahbubul Alam, director of Student Welfare and secretary of the Discipline Committee, confirmed the matter to the media.
The expelled students are Imtiaz Ahmed, Parvez Reza Khan, Syed Shahriar Islam Lamun from the Civil Engineering Department (2021-22 session), and Mohammad Mahid Hossain from the Mechanical Engineering Department (2021-22 session).
On Sunday night (23 February), the Provost and Assistant Provost conducted a raid in Room 402 of Shaheed Mohammad Shah Hall, where they found the four students consuming drugs.
Authorities seized 20 grams of cannabis and 500 milliliters of alcohol in two separate bottles from their possession.
Following the incident, the university issued a notice stating that based on written complaints from the hall provosts and the confiscated evidence; the students were expelled from all academic activities for two years under CUET's anti-drug policy. Additionally, they were permanently removed from their residential hall.
The Discipline Committee has also issued a show-cause notice to the four students, asking them to explain why further disciplinary actions should not be taken against them. They must submit a written response in person by 4pm on 11 March.
If they wish, they may also attend a personal hearing at the committee's meeting on 12 March at 3pm to present their case regarding the disciplinary actions taken against them.
