About 50 buses, multiple covered vans and other necessary vehicles have been prepared for the journey.

As before, the buses will leave Ukhiya Degree College ground area in two rounds a day for Chattogram.

However, no concerned personnel have commented on the issue.

The leaders of the Rohingya camps in Ukhiya said that after successful journeys in four phases, the Rohingyas, who are now willing to go to Bhasan Char, are submitting their names to the respective camp in-charge offices. After briefing about the environment and accommodation facilities of Bhasan Char, the ones willing to go are being transferred through registration.

According to the Refugee Relief and Repatriation Commissioner office in Cox's Bazar, some 9,540 Rohingyas have been relocated to Bhasan Char from the Cox's Bazar camp in four phases till 15 February. In the first phase, 1,642 Rohingyas voluntarily went to Bhasan Char on 4 December. Then on 29 December, 1,805 Rohingyas went to Bhasan Char in the second phase. In the third phase, 3,200 Rohingyas were transferred to Bhasan Char on 28 and 29 January. In the fourth phase, 2,014 Rohingyas on 14 February and 879 Rohingyas on 15 February left the temporary transit camp of Ukhiya College for Bhasan Char.

The government is working on a plan to relocate one lakh Rohingyas from the camps to Bhasan Char.
