At least 30 people were injured in a clash between two groups over a longstanding land dispute in the Pakshimul area of Sarail upazila in Brahmanbaria this morning (12 June). 

The clash broke out around 10:30am when supporters of two residents - Nur Alam and Abdur Rauf - engaged in a violent confrontation with locally-made weapons, according to police and locals.

Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) for the Sarail Circle, Tapan Sarker, said, "Additional police forces have been deployed to bring the situation under control. Legal action will be taken in connection with the incident."

The injured are currently receiving treatment locally, but their identities could not be confirmed immediately.

There has been a long-running dispute between the families of Nur Alam and Abdur Rauf over land ownership. Tension escalated in the morning, eventually leading to a bloody clash between the two sides, according to locals.
