30 cos to receive Green Factory Award 2025 for sustainable practices
The award ceremony will be held today at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in Dhaka

Thirty factories from 16 industrial sectors are set to receive Green Factory Award 2025 today in recognition of their commitment to environmentally sustainable practices, energy efficiency, waste management, and overall workplace standards.
This year's awardees include companies from sectors such as garments, textiles, leather, pharmaceuticals, food processing, steel, ship-breaking, and diversified manufacturing.
The awards will be presented at a ceremony at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in Dhaka in the morning, where key industry leaders and government officials will gather to honour the awardees, according to a letter of the labour and employment ministry.
From the garment industry, Dhaka Textile Limited, Ecotex Limited, Fakir Fashion Limited, Tarasima Apparels Limited, Auko Tex Limited, and Square Fashions Limited will be recognised for their advanced eco-friendly manufacturing practices.
In the textile industry, Akij Textile, Pioneer Denim, KDS Textile Mills, and Four H Dyeing and Printing have been nominated for their commitment to sustainability.
From the electric and electronics sector, Transcom Electronics, Fair Electronics, and Walton Hi-Tech Industries will get the award.
In the food and beverages industry, Akij Food and Beverage and Habiganj Agro Limited will receive the award for their environmentally responsible production methods and effective waste management practices.
From the tea industry, Zerin Tea Garden and Mirzapur Tea Garden have been nominated, while Pragoti Industries from the automobile sector.
Adzi Trims from the accessories and backward linkage industry, and Shoeniverse Footwear Ltd from the leather industry, have been recognised for their sustainable operations. Karupannya Rangpur Limited from the jute industry, and X Ceramics from the tiles industry, have also been nominated.
From the cosmetics industry, Remark HB Limited and Square Toiletries are among the recipients while SK+F Pharmaceuticals from the pharmaceutical industry.
In the ship-breaking industry, PHP Ship Breaking and Recycling Industries and KR Ship Recycling Yard have been selected, while Khulna Shipyard from the ship-building industry.
In addition, BSRM Steels from the steel industry and Seven Circle (Bangladesh) Ltd from the cement industry will get the award.
These awards reflect the government's efforts for eco-friendly industrialisation, lower carbon emissions, and improved compliance, safety, and sustainability.
