Teachers from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) have secured the bail of three students who were detained from a boys' hostel on suspicion during a raid in Sylhet on Wednesday night (31 July).

"At night, we received information that the accused in a case filed over the assault and beating of policemen during the quota reform movement were staying in the hostel at Nihari Para near SUST," Kotwali Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Moin Uddin told The Business Standard today (1 August).

"When we reached the hostel, we found that one room was locked from inside with students. After an hour and a half, we took three suspicious individuals from the room.
