3 service chiefs visit Gazipur ahead of polls for talks on security management
The discussion focused on inter-agency coordination and overall security management
The Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral M Nazmul Hassan, and Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan visited Gazipur today (3 February) on the occasion of the upcoming polls and the July Charter referendum.
During the visit, the three chiefs held a views-exchange meeting at the conference hall of the Bangladesh Rice Research Institute with officials from various law enforcement agencies and the civil administration of Gazipur, Narsingdi and Narayanganj districts under the Dhaka division.
The discussion focused on inter-agency coordination and overall security management to ensure that the upcoming national election is conducted in a peaceful, impartial and fair manner.
The three service chiefs emphasised professionalism, neutrality, discipline, patience and citizen-friendly conduct in the discharge of duties.
Additionally, during the visit, they observed the activities of armed forces personnel and provided necessary directives.
Senior officials of the Army, Navy and Air Force, along with senior officials of the civil administration and law enforcement agencies were also present.
