3 cases filed against Salman F Rahman, 5 others over Tk1.20cr fraud
The other accused named in the cases are Abdullah Khan Mojlish of Aviation, his brother Imran Khan Mojlish, Gulzar Hossain, and Syed Samiul Wadud.
Three separate cases have been filed against Salman F Rahman, former adviser to the ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina, along with his brother ASF Rahman and four others, over allegations of defrauding Tk1.20 crore.
The cases were lodged by three complainants with the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Nazmin Akhter today (7 December).
The other accused named in the cases are Abdullah Khan Mojlish of Beximco Aviation, his brother Imran Khan Mojlish, Gulzar Hossain, and Syed Samiul Wadud, also known as Sami Wadud. The court recorded their statements and directed the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to investigate the allegations and submit a report.
The complainants are Captain Md Mahbub Alam, Captain Mohammad Rashedul Amin, and Captain Zahidur Rahman. Their lawyer, Md Tarikul Islam, confirmed the filing.
According to the complaints, the three pilots had been employed at Beximco Aviation Ltd—reportedly linked to Salman F Rahman—to operate helicopter flights for his travel across the country.
While they initially received their salaries and allowances, they were terminated in February with substantial dues unpaid, amounting to more than Tk1 crore.
The complainants alleged that they later discovered the company was effectively a fake entity set up to obtain their services fraudulently and that the accused had likely misappropriated large sums of money.
