20 injured in Faridpur clash over establishing dominance

At least 20 people were injured in a clash between residents of Saltha and Boalmari upazilas in Faridpur over establishing dominance.

Assistant Superintendent of Police Mahmudul Hasan said, "Upon receiving information, police and army personnel arrived at the scene and restored order.
"Several locally made weapons were recovered during operations, and a number of individuals were detained."
According to locals, a long-standing dispute escalated into violence today between supporters of Parameshwardi Union Parishad Chairman Mannan Matubbar of Boalmari upazila and supporters of Tulu Mia and Jihad Mia from Khardiya village in Saltha upazila over territorial dominance.
ASP Mahmudul said drives are ongoing and legal action will be taken against those responsible.
