20 injured after 'rabid' horse goes berserk, bites and kicks people in Faridpur

At least 20 people were injured after a "rabid" horse went on a rampage in Boalmari Upazila of Faridpur this week, allegedly after being bitten by a dog.
The incident came to light this morning (7 September) around 7am when the horse attacked people along College Road and the intersection.
According to locals and victims, the horse's aggressive behaviour may have been triggered by being bitten by a dog, although this has not been confirmed.

Over the past two days, the horse has reportedly bitten and kicked at least 20 people at different locations in the municipality. Many of the injured received primary treatment on site.
The horse reportedly bites anyone who comes near, spreading panic across the town.
Dr Morshed Alam of Boalmari Upazila Health Complex said several victims arrived at the hospital this morning and received treatment, adding that they were given painkillers and tetanus injections.
Moniruzzaman, a resident of the municipal area, said, "At least 20 to 25 people, including women, were injured over the past two days." He added that the horse attacks anyone it encounters.
